Philosophy
“The Heart of Nutrition philosophy is based on the fundamental belief that a healthy body and state of mind are achieved through balanced nutrition (that is sustainable and realistic) for your lifestyle, without diets or deprivation.”
– Erin Naimi, RDN, CEDRD
For over two decades we have had the opportunity to work with a myriad of individuals with one common concern: How to deal with Food.
How is it that so many intelligent, creative, successful individuals all find themselves in the same quandary with one of the most basic human needs?
People feel confused about what, when and how much to eat.
They don’t know how to eat to feel healthier, happier, and more satisfied. Sadly, most don’t know how to eat without feeling deprived or guilt-ridden. They struggle with their ability to trust their bodies and its desires and instincts with food.
With so much information and misinformation out there, it no wonder so many people find themselves at a loss.
This is where we can help…
Through Nutrition Therapy, we will assist you in attaining a clear understanding of your body’s needs and a roadmap to your goals. Our work together will instill a sense of confidence in your relationship to food and your body. You will come to understand that feeling healthy and happy is not attained through rigidity and restriction. Instead, you will gain the ability to listen to your body and the wisdom to respond appropriately
The Heart of Nutrition Philosophy
A healthy body and state of mind is achieved through balanced nutrition (that is sustainable and realistic) for your lifestyle, without diets or deprivation.
This philosophy enables you eat and relate to food in a way that makes you feel vibrant- physically and emotionally. You are empowered to make choices each and every day that support your needs and lifestyle, rather than depleting you of energy and vitality. Balanced nutrition does not dismiss the importance of pleasure (from food) for the sake of being “healthy”, in fact it recognizes that both health and pleasure are essential and often complimentary parts of our diets. This belief sets the framework for our work together, and the foundation for your success.
For years, we have had the privilege to work hand in hand with clients in making that journey an achievable and sustainable lifelong practice.
